The Statewide Online Education Program (SOEP) was established by the Utah Legislature in the 2011 General Session. The program enables eligible students to earn high school graduation credit through the completion of publicly funded online courses. The ACT college readiness assessment is a standardized test for high school achievement and college admissions in the United States produced by ACT. The ACT originally consisted of four tests: English, Mathematics, and a Reading section. An optional Writing test was added to the ACT in 2005. The main four tests are scored individually on a scale of 1–36, and a composite score is provided which is the whole number average of the four scores.
The SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States. The SAT is owned and published by the College Board, a private, not-for-profit corporation in the United States. It is developed and administered on behalf of the College Board by the Educational Testing Service. The test is intended to assess students’ readiness for college.
